The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) was set up to encourage the uptake of renewable heating systems in the UK, which in turn helps reduce the county’s carbon footprint and reliance on fossil fuels.
The BUS can provide a grant to cover part of the cost of replacing fossil fuel heating systems.
The scheme provides upfront capital grants of up to £7,500 to encourage property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including heat pumps and biomass boilers.
